FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

You may purchase tickets on the day of the event, at any of the gardens on the day of the Tour. (Cash or checks accepted).  To obtain the program with map to the gardens, download it from this blog.  (Map may not be created for 2012, since all locations are easy to find.)
How do I get into each of the gardens?
At the entrance of each garden on the tour, there will be hosts and hostesses to check off your location on the program map.

What are the hours?
10:00 to 5:00 on Sat., the 29th

Where do I start the Garden Tour? How long is the tour?
Start at any of the 7 gardens. Take your time! Don’t miss those on the perimeter.
Admission is good for all day of the tour. Expect at least 5 hours to see all of the gardens and also have time for lunch

Where do we recommend you stop for a lunch break?
LeBarons’ Cafe on 2nd St. in downtown Nampa is good and central and there are several others nearby, including a good Vietnamese cafe across the street. There's also the famous Brick 29

What if it rains?
The Tour takes place rain or shine. Bring your umbrella if it’s blustery.

Is parking available at all the gardens?
This is a driving tour – carpooling is strongly encouraged. Parking is on the street; expect about a block’s walk to each garden.

Will I be able to use a wheelchair or baby stroller?
Regrettably, because the gardens are all private properties, they are not wheelchair or stroller accessible.

Can I take pictures of the gardens?
Yes, provided that the photographs are for your personal use only and not for any commercial purpose.

Can I bring my dog on a leash?
We love dogs, but we are sorry to say that pets are not invited into these private gardens.

What if I use a walker?  You probably should not try to take the tour, which will include some rough ground.
Is it possible for me to volunteer to help the Garden Tour and do I need to be an experienced gardener?
Yes we would love to have more volunteers - each person who volunteers during the tour is given a complimentary ticket.
No gardening experience is necessary.    Contact us at the number below!

Will you show the same gardens next year?
Heavens, no. We may not have a tour in 2013, however, so don't miss this year's.

Can my garden be considered for next year's tour? Or can I recommend a friend’s garden?
Yes! We are always looking for beautiful gardens. There is a sign-up sheet in each garden where you can list your information.

Do I have to be a registered Republican to attend?  No! In fact not every one of our hosts are Republicans.
